Hello all, hope this post finds you all well. I haven't been doing any papercrafting lately because I have been ELBOW DEEP in kitchen construction with the HOTTEST paratrooper that has ever walked this great land of ours! And I am happy to share his last name! BooYAH! This weekend we are renovating our kitchen, but that is not what I came here to talk about. I will talk more about that when I have completed pics to go with it. What I do want to post today is a question.....to see if you guys are seeing the same thing I am seeing. We were kind of breezing through some old vacay pics and came across this one that we took at Fort Macon, NC. This fort has seen many battles and has some great history as well and the phenom beach just outside the walls. My husband snapped this pic, I hope you guys can zoom in on it and tell me what you see in the door? Leave me a comment and let me know what you think!

Butterflies.

You know when you make a change...one of those big, life changing changes, that as it approaches and starts to effect the way you do everyday things, and ya get those butterflies. You know, those BIG butterflies that start in your stomach and radiate into your arms and legs? I am feeling that on a daily basis now as Monday, August 1st approaches. See, I have made the decision to stop working part-time and begin a full-time position at the Endoscopy department at the Veterans Hospital. I am so proud to be a part of their team, but leaving a place you have known as home for the past 20 years is hard. I have been working for my current hospital since I was 19. Wow. This doesn't come without some doubts, but, the Lord has lead me there, truly, and I know that I must keep my end of the deal. I was unsure as I interviewed and had a discussion with Him when I was finished. I told Him that I was unsure, and that He would have to put me there if He wanted me there. Well, He did, so now I have to keep my end of the bargain. God is good and He puts us right where we need to be. All we have to do is BE STILL, and listen.

Aha! Bet you thought I was gonna say it pours..which would be nice...but it didn't pour......and it sure didn't flush. Recently we have had a boatload of rain and our "vintage" septic tank just couldn't take it anymore. It wouldn't drain and sooooo our toilet would not flush. I am sure you are wondering what could possibly make me devulge this info. Well, there is an interesting part to this story, when the oh-so-nice gentleman came to "evacuate" the tank we found that the lid was cracked. Not just cracked, but without the dirt on top of it began....to....shift. They tried to stop the shift and lift the lid, but once water got on top of the lid, it bellied up like an old dead fish, and S...A...N...K. So now I have a big gaping hole in my yard with a big piece of plywood over it, and a little makeshift fence, just to keep the kids, and the kitty from falling in to the poophole. So, that my friends is what I have been dealing with today. I have no cool pics...yet. BUT did get a chance to stamp a muslin bag today, only its not quite finished. Okay, so its been more than a long time since I have blogged. Seems as though with no traffic on this thing I am blogging to myself. However, I changed the look of the blog and I have to say I am DIGGIN' the colors. The swirls and the combinations of color reminds me of spring, and you know that after spring comes SUMMER! Boy, I can't wait. Home with my boys and trips to our self proclaimed peice of summer heaven, Emerald Isle. If I had the cahonas I would sell my land here and move there in a heartbeat! I am workin on revamping this here blog, but in the meantime I'm gonna leave you with a great summer pic. Can't wait! See ya soon peeps!

Hello all! I have been a busy bee doing the Thanksgiving thing. Since I woke from my two day post-turkeypumkinpie slumber, I have finished putting up my Christmas decorations and finished quite a bit of shopping. WOW. That is a first for me. I am trying to stay motivated and make short lists of things to complete, I am trying to break out of my ADPS, translation- Attention Deficit Procrastination Syndrome. No, I don't think that is an "official" diagnosis, but it sure feels that way to me. There are so many things I could be doing, but somehow, sitting on the couch, looking at the Christmas lights, and watching ELF, is so much more fun. And it is GREAT for my bum, makes it nice and round and plump... and jiggly... like Santa's belly.....ewww.... I think I have to go run now. Six miles. That should do it, at least for today!

I will leave you with a picture of my sweet dog Jack. He keeps me company when my kidlets are at school, and besides, his picture was already on my computer, and he is way cuter that I! Have a beautiful Wednesday people!

What I've been up to.....

Hello all! I know, its been a long time since I have posted. But the trouble is, I really wonder if anyone sees this blog at all. I mean, I am not a very good blogger so its really no surprise there are no readers. But I have done something really that has surprised even me. You see, at work there a few crafty people with embroidery machines at home, and they have made this oh so cute badge reels that are "monogrammed", they are cloth and they are very cute. I got to thinking, and ordering, the supplies to make some of my own, for all of my co-workers in our department, but to make them out of paper. Well....lets just say after a couple of rounds..... and lots of
product developement, I have finally made some out of paper, they are glazed with glassy glaze and impervious to any fluids they may splash about. The first picture is of the original group with no glaze, and the second picture, though it is hard to tell, is the group that is glazed. It also allows me to sprinkle just the tiniest bit of superfine glitter, you know, the kind that looks like pixie dust, over some of them to give them extra sparkle. I am going to make some this week with just stamped images instead of letters just to see how fun I can make them.

I am off to shoo the kids to bed, tomorrow is a school day and it is already passed their bedtime~!

It's offical. Summer is over.

And I am sad. Though I love fall and all of the wonderful things that come with it, I can't help but be sad that summer is over. We had such a good time together, so many wonderful memories that I am getting ready to put into a scrapbook, I still long for all things that say summer to us. I would like to make one more trek to the beach with my kidlets before it gets cold. But as of now we are back to the grind of school, homework, and preparing for the fall. Both my boys are enjoying school, most of all my middle schooler. He went back to public school and loves it so much more than the Christian private school he went to last year. He is in the band, (playing the drums, how cool!) and is going to be joining clubs and being social. I love him so much and it makes me feel so good to see him happy. Sure, public school has its drawbacks. But Gavin is no longer in this little "box" that he was expected to be in last year. He is Gavin. Plain and simple, and he is allowed to be creative, quirky, and a bit of a daydreamer, and I love that. Scout is doing well in fourth grade and is loving his teachers also, they are changing classes this year, and he feels like such a big kid. I consider myself so blessed. Promise to be back before the end of the week to post something crafty!

In search of the Endless Summer...

There are only a few days left...a few more lazy days left, and then, its back to the grind. I love summer so very much. My boys are out of school, no deadlines, projects, homework ect. And we play. I MEAN WE PLAY. We go to the pool, play in the yard, play games in the morning in our jammies, make breakfast together. It is wonderful. (And they let me sleep on the mornings I don't have to go to work.) They are so much fun, and I don't want our summer to end. However, I guess they do have to learn to make productive people out of themselves, so they must return to school.

These are a few pictures of our vacation to Emerald Isle. It was so beautiful, and yes, the water is beautiful there. And it makes for good surfing, which my husband are going back in September and taking surf classes from Hotwax Surf Shop. I swear they are the sweetest business owners ever. There shop has been there for 25 years. We decided that longboarding would be my speed, you see, I don't like big hungry fish, and the more board I have, the less likely they will bite me and bite the board instead. ( I know that makes no difference, but don't tell my logical mind that. Its the only way I am going to learn to surf with my husband.)

I have been making button badge reels lately and hopefully soon I will be taking a pic and posting it here for all to see. I will be selling them at the hospital and the school, and if they go over well enough, maybe I will put them in an Etsy shop.

You guys make the most of what is left of the summer, take care of yourselves... until next time....

Once again God has blessed our little stamping community. I am sorry for not posting this earlier, but I have news about the LSS fire. There was a building behind our stamp store that apparently housed part of a printing business. The oh so responsive Mooresville Fire Department kept spraying the adjacent buildings to keep them wet and cool so that they did not catch fire also. The stamp store did have a little damage, but it only went as far as some cracked window panes and melting door framing. The fire of the building behind it was so bad, and so hot, that they are not sure if they will even be able to determine what caused the fire. No one was injured and all the beautiful papers, projects, stamps and memories are intact! Thank you Lord!

I just heard tonight that our LSS may have been involved in an explosion which resulted in a fire and total loss of the entire building which housed two businesses. I have been watching the news and searching our news websites for more info but I am afraid it is too early for that. Please send a prayer out to Brenda. This place was a warm wonderful place of stamping family where they always knew your name.

Ok, so it proves that I don't have ANY readers, but just to make myself feel better, I am going to post..again...today...on the....4th! Happy Independence Day all you peoples! Prayers and good wishes go out to all the SOLDIERS, their families, and a BIG...GINORMOUS...HEARTFELT...THANK YOU. Thank you guys, girls, families...for serving our country, and making it safe to lay our heads on a pillow at night. For allowing us the freedom to choose, when we will wake up, where we will go to church, where we work, what we wear, and how we choose our leaders. If it weren't for these brave, selfless, individuals, we could very well be the group of people dictated by some lunatic that won't let us think for ourselves. Fellow Americans...join me in supporting our soldiers and their families. Tell them thank you when you see them in in the grocery store or on the street as you go about your day. Don't be shy, let them know that they are appreciated, and ask them to tell those in their divisions that we appreciate them too. It's the LEAST that we can do.

I have decided that it is pretty pathetic that when you get ready to stamp, and you have to take your heat gun or a hairdryer to blow the dust off your workspace, that you probably aren't stamping enough, or blogging enough. I know....it's bad. Really, really, bad. And I am going to change that. It's just that the pool is calling our names, and my supervisor at work, and the dirty dishes in the sink... know whut I mean? So, I am making these cute little boxes for my sister (who is a brat) and my sister in law's birthdays, which are the 2nd and 4th of July. As soon as I get them done.. I will post them... and if you leave me a comment, I will choose one person to send a cute little unused stamp set.....it will be a surprise! Let's just see if you leave some comments, eh? It's almost here!

It's almost here, the end of school, light at the end of the tunnel, take a deep breath...freedom....ahhhhhh... SUMMER! I am in love with summer, because that means that I get to sneak in my little boys' rooms in the mornings, tickle their sweet little boy feet, gently wake them with the smell of pancakes or waffles and bacon cooking, and tell them to get ready.....WE ARE GOING TO THE POOL! The pool that we go to has got some of the most awesome girls and guys as lifeguards. They love my kids. They do. I can see it in their faces when we arrive there the first few days of summer. These are college kids, COLLEGE. They never act like they are too cool to hang out with my 12 and 9 year old children. At pool breaks you can find them IN the lifeguard stand, eating popcicles and taking a break with the BIG kids. I love them, these guarders of LIFE. They are amazing, and I truly appreciate the people that they are. Now don't get me wrong, I am not one of these mothers that lays by the pool and expects them to watch my kids. If one of my children slips from the diving board, I am the first one in. But these lifeguards at our pool are amazing. I love them, and I make them brownies with chocolate bars baked in! Mwah, to all the Pines Pool lifeguards!

Scrap Stamping Challenge!

Hello all! Its a very happy Thursday morning in NC and the sun is shining. I just went walking and hopefully dropped a bit of a buttcheek here or there. I also saw a happy family of deer that thought that if they ran really fast across the road that I wouldn't see them. They were jumping a pasture fence and darting into the woods while I was thinking, "I wish I had legs like that, I would look much skinnier". Wouldn't that look funny, I mean if I really had deer legs......whoa. Anyway, I sat down at my craft table late one night last week before bed, and had a smallish idea. What if I could take just the scraps that I found on my tabletop and made a card out of them, could I do it with just the scraps laying out?

This is what I came up with! The sentiment stamp is one of the new unmounted stamps from SU! They are pretty cool, and since I don't demonstrate for SU anymore I can say I used a PTI circles stamp to accompany it and bring some of the colors from the patterned paper onto white sentiment. I thought the words needed a little sparkle so I went over the sentiment with a little jellyroll pen action. This card is not perfect, but it was sooooo super quick, I am thinking like maybe five minutes. I added the little cloth flower at the top just because the jar was on my tabletop and it really wanted to be on the card too. Hello all! Happy Monday! Ya know...we should all love Mondays, because without them, you can't to Tuesday, ect., ect. It has been awhile since I posted, I have recovered fully, well almost fully from my surgery, with a little soreness, but my hands are working wonderfully! No numbness or anything! It is wonderful, I can actually hold my husbands hand without my fingers going numb! THAT....is very important! So I made this little cupcake box for my mom for her birthday, in it went a little bracelet and charms made by Brighton. It was the kind that you can add beads and charms to, sort of like those Pandora bracelets and such, except a little less expensive. I got the idea from Val Stangles blog, she made the cutest little cupcake box, I am pretty sure there is a tutorial there is you can to visit and check it out for yourself. The paper is from SU designer series, the little die cut flowers are also from their new die cut collection. The stamp is Butterflyabella from Stamping Bella, soooo cute.

In other news, I went cruising around Salisbury the other day, my hometown, just taking pictures of some of the historical buildings and thought you might like to see a couple of pics of this really really cool hotel. The Empire Hotel was a place where the actors that played at the Meroney Theatre stayed (which was across the street) when they were involved in whatever play was active at the time. I am not sure how true this is, but I was told that there is a "tunnel" or passageway under the street that led over to the Meroney so the actors wouldn't have to travel outside to get the the theatre. How cool is that? I think I will do a little research on that and see if I can get some details. I hope you all have a wonderful Tuesday...only three more days till FRIDAY! ( I apologize for the order of these pics. I am not sure how to move them quite yet!)

Hello, its me again. Nothing crafty to show right now, we are currently watching the opening ceremonies of the Winter Olympics! It is an exciting yet sad time right now, considering the tragedy that happened this morning on the Whistler, the luge track where a young athlete, Nodor Kumaritashvili lost his life. Let us all gather in a spirit of camaraderie and hope, and say a prayer for all the athletes and the family of this young Olympian hopeful.

Valentines for Scout

First of all I must apologize for the poor quality photo, but it is night time, and the lighting kinda sucks, and Scout is taking the Valentines to school tomorrow so I MUST take the photo tonight! SO, though it is hard to see I will show you anyway. I got this cute little stamp set by Martha Stewart..."Oh MARTHA...!" stamped it in Dark Chocolate ink by PTI, (man that stuff covers and stamps so well) and used a little Copic markers to color them in. Since these are going to third graders and I know they will be thrown away I used white cardstock from Georgia Pacific and didn't bother coloring them in much. However, that little heart in the middle of the piece of candy was just begging for some glitter. BUT, it is tiny, and there are 25 of them, and I wasn't going to glue and glitter 25 of those little suckers (actually they are Tootsie Rolls), especially because I am recovering from carpal tunnel surgery and my hands were killing me. So I said to myself, "Self, why don't you use the groovy little Jelly Roll pen right there, that would't take long at all." And..lo and behold...the angels sang, and it took me all of 2 minutes, and it looks like foil IRL! Ok, so my last post said that I was going to blog more, yadda yadda. I do have plans for that, and to make this blog something delightful to look at, however, right now I am recovering. I had bilateral carpel tunnel surgery yesterday, endoscopically. That is why I had them both done at the same time. So, they are a bit painful, not bad, but bad enough. Thank God I can use them a little, and my wonderful husband, (who is soooo hot) bought me this laptop so I can lay on the couch, surf the blogs, and don't have to use a mouse. I do have some things to share, but I have to photograph them first. So, to my whole 2 maybe 3 readers (on occasion) and to anyone who may bounce by, I will be back, with lots to share, and some new handmade goodies I will put up in an Etsy store. Ta ta for now!

JANUARY 2010

Well, here it is, January 2010 and my resolution, (aside from losing weight, as usual) is to be more organized, craft more, blog more, and play with my kids more, they are so fun and the whole reason that I live and breathe and walk this earth. That should be enough of a resolution list, right? I even thought about getting them tattooed to the inside of my left wrist just to remind me of my good intentions. Yea. That would be only slightly psychotic. Anyway, here is the first entry to the year of 2010 blogging. It should surely get better from here. 2009 was a great year for our family, there are so many reasons to be thankful, grateful, ever appreciative of the Father. He has blessed our little family with far more than we deserve. I hope that all of you, my whole probably two readers, (thanks mom) had a wonderful 2009 as well. Happy year to you all!

Sympathy for a Furry Family Member

For those of you who don't know me, I am a huge Boxer fan. Yea, I like boxing, but I am talking FURRY boxers, the sweet kind, the ones that like to lean on you while you rub them behind the ears, the ones that are excited to see you when you come home from work, no matter how crabby you are....But for a friend of mine.... her boxer slipped away. You see, boxers are "prone" to certain cancers as they get older, and poor Cayman developed one and he quietly slipped away. He was a great friend, and protector, to three really sweet little kids, and I know the whole family misses him deeply. That is why I created this card, for Wendy, and her family, because I know that I would be beside myself if something ever happens to Jack, my boxer.

I used a hodgepodge of product here, SU! papers, SU! baroque motifs flourish and flower, MFT Gone to the Dogs stamp set, and PTI Mixed Messages as the sentiment. I used the swirly cuttlebug folder to emboss the layered piece, and small oval punch for the sentiment hang tag. Ribbon is from Ellen Hutson online store. I hope you like this quick little sympathy card. I am off to spend one more free day with Scout before he starts school. Big brother Gavin started middle school last week and we are sooooo lonely without him :(

I cannot believe it has been so long since I posted. I mean, I knew it had been awhile, but since APRIL?!!! I am one bad blogger! (Not to mention my computer was down for three weeks and it is really hard to post from my phone!) And now I can't get blogger out of ITALICS. Hurumph, annoying. Anyway, I was checking on my dusty blog today and found two comments in waiting....WHAT? Two COMMENTS? Nuh-UNH! Yep (thanks Alma),I read the comments and laughed my aspirin off! It spurred me into motion and here is what I will post for tonight. This little notecard set is a spin off of the one that we created on the cruise with Nichole Heady and Papertrey Ink. I used the little acetate box that some stamps came in, nipped off the top, stamped with my French Script backgrounder by SU! in dark chocolate ink by PTI onto my cardstock. I then used some Adirondack paint daubers and painted my flower from the SU set Looks like Spring and stamped it on top. The ribbon is from the dollar bin at Michaels, and the buttons are from my stash and each one is a little different, but all pink. There are six cards and envies in the set, none with sentiments, so that they may be used for any occasion. I hope you like 'em and maybe can find a reason to make some for yourself or to give away!

My oldest son just had eye surgery and in the flurry of getting ready for that, recouping, and getting back into the swing of things, I simply forgot. When Things Just Kind of Happen........

I love it when things just kind of fall together, and it makes you smile inside. Even though, it may not be anything fabulous to anyone else, in your mind, it is just right. That is what happened with the two cards I am posting today. It has been rainy, and crappy here in NC for most of the week. With the weather being so oppressive, add a little cabin fever, and your mojo can be sucked out of you like Dorothy out of Kansas. I even asked my husband, "Have you seen my mojo?" his reply, "Its probably under the bed with the rest of your shoes and the dust bunnies,"....smart----! No, really, he is precious, and funny too...and hot...ok...I digress. Back to the cards, the first one is made with Hearts and Flowers from the Cats Pajamas. I have a friend who is going through some medical issues with her dad, and after seeing little tears well up in her eyes, I thought she needed some positive vibes, hence the card. I used watercolor crayons from SU, black Memento ink, die cuts from SU's birds and blooms, and a little pewter brad from the Hodgepodge Hardware SU set. The patterned paper, again SU, Ginger Blossoms, and the envelope from the same pack.

The second card happened quite by accident. I had been browsing at Big Lots and found this really cool pack of rub-ons, of course, there were not big lots of that, just one pack. If there had been more, I would have loaded up, LOTS of possibilities for these, and I don't normally like to work with Rub-Ons. I aged the paper, every layer, with a little Sahara Sand ink. I really like the effect that it had on the paper along with the old world look of the rub-on. The die is from SU birds and blooms again, and the little pearl brad, a little leftover in the "stash". I hope you like these little accidents, because they both came together, quite by accident, just the way I like it.

I recently received something special in my mailbox, really special, and there is not one stamp in this acrylic polymer goodness that I was not IN LOVE with! I am talking about the new release from The Cats Pajamas ! If you haven't checked 'em out, I suggest you slink on over to that swanky scene and shop awhile! This first card was supposed to be for last weeks TCP tuesday challenge, but of course, I was a bit late to photograph and upload. My loss. If you haven't participated, try it sometime, it is alot of fun. I used Barely Banana Cardstock with vellum stamped with the border from SU baroque motifs. The Cat was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and color with Copics, I added a little glittah to the ribbon (after I dabbed some on my face because that is where it will end up anyway). I used some little rhinestone brads to the punched flowers for a little added interest. I am not sure whether I like them or not, but I had already punched through the flowers so it was a "go".

The second card was stamped with Memento Tuxedo black and colored with Koh-I-Nors and blended with odorless mineral spirits. I layered the "scrap" from the punched flowers over the yellow cardstock, scored the grid with my Scor-Pal and added the flowers with the "not naked" buttons that I had in my stash. I used Glassy Glaze over the jar to make it shiny and embossed the edges of the image with baby pink glitter embossing powder. The ribbon was a litte scrap that I had left over, it was just enough to added some interest to this card. I hope to get alot more fun stamping done this weekend, it is rainy and cold here in North Carolina! And to think that the first part of the week it was almost 80 degrees! Tonight it is in the 40's! Happy weekend and Happy Stamping!

Well, its been one heck of a week sisters! Last Saturday, I told my husband that I think I am getting sick...my face hurts. But, like most moms, I kept on going, through the day, cleaning, rearranging furniture, going to a weenie roast complete with hayride, "I will be fine". Fast forward 24 hrs later, 102' degree fever, yep, I am sick. So , thinking it was just a head cold, I am popping Motrin, miracle cure for everything, and still going strong. I stamped a little card for my most awesome husband, and have to admit I was thinking, oh, this will do, because normally I am in the ribbon, the glitter, and anything else I can fit on there, I don't care if it is for my guy, he is going to get some glitter whether he likes it nor not. When I finished with this oh-so-simple and totally lazy card, I thought, in its simplicity, that it was pretty cute. It expressed exactly what I felt. Several days and a Dr. visit later, I am still sick, convinced I have the flu. And today, my people, today is the first day that I have not run fever since Sunday, Feb 15th! Now let me explain something, I am a nurse in a hospital. I have been exposed to most germs known to mankind, most of which would kill the average person, and I thought I had the immune system of a horse. NOT THE CASE! This stuff kicked my butt. The only thing I could do even remotely related to stamping was watch the Cricut infomercial on TV and groan, (and cough...which hurt terribly). Now I am not telling you guys this to have you feel sorry for me, it was just a really long way of telling you why this card only has one little layer, and little coloring with Copics, and a sweet Lodge and Inuit girl stamp from Amuse. I wrote in the sentiment because I wanted something really simple. By the way, my husband loved the card, he is just so awesome, and he took care of me while I was sick too! Hope to see you here again!

Yea, baby! They did it again! Introducing Twisted Sentiments II, by My Favorite Things! You, my friend, have just hopped onto the trail of a little risque' stamp set that offers just the right thing to say, when flowers and froo froo just won't do! If you have hopped here from Kim's blog, then keep on reading, if not, start there, then hop here, then off to Cindy Haffner's world of fabulosity! I was so honored when I was asked to the MFT Hot To Trot guest designer for February! This set is perfect for cards for a sister, best friend, co-worker, or that significant other when you want to be a little naughty! My first card I made with the top of the cupcake from "It's a Cupcake Kind of Day". I colored it with Copic markers from MFT, and added a little glassy glaze for that "wet look". The ribbon I picked up at a local craft store years ago, colored it to match with Copics and added a little buckle for the "dog collar". The bone clip is one that came in a little kit given to me about a year ago from Zippy BowWow and Meow.

My second card I created with "Gone to the Dogs" by MFT. I thought these precious pooches would look great blinged out and paper pieced! They look like they are ready for Westminster! I pieced them with scraps from the scrap box and added some supah fine glittah! The ribbon is from May Arts. The coloring was done with Copics! I was just monkeying around with some scraps that I had and thought I might use this sweet owl from The Cats Pajamas Halloween set. I also used the branch from PTI's set "Out on a Limb". It was stamped with Brilliance inks and the owl was colored with Koh-I-Noor pencils and blended with Gamsol. I glittered the edge and the moon though it is a bit hard to see in the picture. Hello all! Happy Sunday to you! I feel like a ......DORK! I know I saw somewhere that there was a MFT (My Favorite Things) challenge to use pink and black and I swear I can't find it now, so I guess I will just post it here! Where no one is really looking cuz' I don't think anyone knows my blog is here! Out here in cyber right field, where nobody....NOBODY....ever hits the ball! Anyway, I used the new Maid for You set and colored it with Koh-I-Noors, added a little free handed embellishing and some bling! The mirror on the wall was drawn as well and the "mirror" portion was embossed three times to give it a little shine, though it is difficult to see in the picture. I had alot of trouble with the layout for some reason and wanted to add a little something different aside from buttons and ribbon, so I used some scraps and made a little paper duster to embellish the side. Let me know what you think! (Puh-leeze!) Somebody leave me a comment so that I will know that at least one person bounced across this blog! Thanks!

Hello all! It is Friday night, woooohoooo! I love Friday nights. The kick off to the weekend, pizza for supper, no cooking, sitting around with the family playin' games and relaxin'. Ahhhh, I love it. Oh, and did I mention NO HOMEWORK! Nooo, not for me, for the kidlets, and yes, I do have to still help them with it. I swear its like I am doing far more homework now than I ever did in school. (Just ignore that sentence, mom.)

So I have some Cats Pajamas goodness to show you. I bought the Puppy Love clear set and just started coloring them up with some Koh-I-Noor pencils, thinking that the Rocket was going to be my p'iece de resistance' (I know I didn't spell that right, but it was fun trying!) but I think the lovebirds are my favorite of this little batch. I have some work to do on the Rocket card, I will post it later...um...maybeeee.....Anyway, I hope you like them and come back for more soon! By the way, you might want to jet over to The Cats Pajamas and pick up their Kitty Cat Pack. Its a whole lotta clear stampin goodness for less than Cat Kibble!

The card with the sweet little fish on the front was stamped for me by my very loving , very tender hearted seven year old, Scout. He loves to create and color too, just like his mom. Recently my wonderful husband helped me to create a new stamping area in our room so Scout took the opportunity to break it in and make me this very sweet little card. A Little Trial and Error

Ok, here I am, in blogland....what a nice place to be. I am so addicted to reading everyone else's blog, so I decided that maybe I should share too. ALSO...it causes me to get off my...tail...and use the products that I am so awesome at collecting...right? The goal is to use more so I can buy more...that is the way it should be...right? My goal is to post at least every other day, and maybe...just maybe....I will have some blog traffic, and get connected to other crafters from all over the place. The key here is to get busy....and create. So here is a card that I created for my sweet cousin, Sharon, who is like a sister to me, honestly. And when we get together, it doesn't matter what the situation is, even if it is the gravest of situations, we will find a way to laugh at each other, because that is just the way we are, and I love her so much. I thought that Cosmobella from Stamping Bella was just perfect for her birthday card. The thing is, the more I stamped and looked at all the white space, the more of these things called "Copics" I used. Oh...so you have heard of them? I love them, but am NOT that great at using them...yet... but I am working on it. I freehanded the grass and stepping stones, and the topiary stamp is from a retired SU set called Sweet of You. I got carried away on the coloring and keep in mind that I have not had these Copics long. Tell me what you think, and if you have any constructive criticism, let me know, I can take it. Lol!
